This month has been one for the books. I traveled back to Spain, starting in Malaga for a few days of shopping, relaxing, and soaking up the city’s vibrant atmosphere. There’s something about strolling through Malaga’s streets in December that feels magical—the warmth of the sun, the holiday lights, and the buzz of life.
From Malaga, it was time for a change of pace: skiing in Sierra Nevada. The drive is scenic, and it’s incredible how quickly you can shift from sandy beaches to snow-covered slopes in this part of Spain. My four-year-old son, Freddie, had a huge milestone—he skied for the first time. Watching him learn and laugh as he slid down the slopes was a moment I’ll cherish forever.
And the food didn’t disappoint either. Alongside incredible tapas and local dishes I had one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever tasted while in Sierra Nevada. After a long day on the slopes, nothing hits quite like a perfectly cooked burger, and this one was unforgettable. Simple, hearty, and exactly what I needed.
Alongside the skiing and eating it was encouraging to see the buoyancy of the economy, we have a great listing in the heart of the resort.
Marbella’s Finest Listing
After the slopes, it was back on the road to Marbella for something truly exciting: viewing and taking on one of our biggest single listings yet—a jaw-dropping €35 million villa in La Zagaleta. It’s hard to put into words how extraordinary this property is.
The villa features:
•One of the largest pools I’ve ever seen, with panoramic views that are simply breathtaking.
•A private car showroom (perfect for collectors).
•A luxury spa, gym, salon, and wine cellar.
•A design that oozes elegance and sophistication at every turn.
This is more than just a home—it’s a statement. I’ll be sharing more details soon, but for now, let’s just say it’s a masterpiece worth seeing.
Christmas in Marbella
After wrapping up the listing, we stayed in Marbella for Christmas with family and friends. Winter in Marbella is perfection: 22°C daily temperatures, sunny skies, and a relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy breakfast on the beach, ski in the afternoon, and be back for dinner on a terrace overlooking the sea.
We packed in plenty of fun:
•Go-karting with Freddie, who’s becoming quite the little racer.
•A visit to Forum Marbella on the Golden Mile, where we indulged in amazing food and ice skating.
•Countless meals with friends, surrounded by laughter, great wine, and holiday cheer.
Why I Love Winter in Spain
This trip reminded me why I love winter in southern Spain. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and luxury. Whether it’s exploring Malaga’s bustling streets, skiing in the Sierra Nevada, or savouring the Mediterranean lifestyle in Marbella, there’s always something to enjoy.
For now, it’s back to work, but with so many memories made and plenty more to look forward to. Winter in Marbella truly is something special.
