Sunningdale Manor: A Home Unlike Any Other

Sunningdale Manor truly captured me the moment I stepped inside. It couldn’t be further from my usual taste with its hand-painted gold ceilings, bold living spaces, thick, impossibly soft carpets, and an unapologetically lavish interior—but this home had me hooked from the start.

There’s something rare and refreshing about a home where the owners have poured their personality into every corner. These days, so many properties lean towards the same neutral palettes, designed with future resale in mind. Grey walls, white cabinets, minimalist furniture, it all begins to feel soulless, a mere stepping stone to the next bigger, better, but eerily similar home.

Sunningdale Manor defies this trend entirely. It stands as a testament to what a home can be when it’s designed with heart, care, and unapologetic individuality. Every visit reveals another small, thoughtful detail that makes me smile, details only possible because the owners devoted so much love into making this house their own.

The Manor has a vast garden patch that bursts to life in summer. The scent is intoxicating, and the tomatoes grown here are some of the best I’ve ever tasted, like Heinz ketchup poured straight into my mouth by some tomato-loving magician. The outdoor kitchen is a dream come true, calling for summer barbecues and long evenings spent with friends. There’s something about this space that gives me a dreamy feeling—you can genuinely picture a life here. No photograph could ever capture the emotion of this creation.

My personal taste leans heavily toward Scandinavian or Japanese influences, perhaps shaped by my years living in Spain. That style feels familiar and grounding to me. And yet, despite being the opposite of what I usually gravitate toward, Sunningdale Manor has won my heart.

Of course, whenever we feature Sunningdale Manor, there are always a few “not my taste” comments. But to truly understand this home, you need to experience it. It’s not just a house; it’s a statement, a bold expression of living that invites you to embrace its uniqueness.

I’ve seen Sunningdale Manor in summer, when the grounds come alive and you can imagine endless gatherings with friends and family, or perhaps hosting a grand garden party. But I’ve also experienced it in winter, where it transforms into the coziest retreat—perfect for long walks around the estate followed by evenings by the fire.

I never expected to fall for this home, it’s so far from what I’d choose for myself. But I have a deep appreciation for Sunningdale Manor, for its individuality and the love infused into every corner. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and it reminds me that a home isn’t just a place to live. It’s a reflection of the people who pour their hearts into it.
