Marbella & Málaga Property Highlights: Luxury Villas, Prime Plots & Major Deals
A week on the ground in southern Spain: exploring €12M Marbella villas, prime plots in Finca Cortesin and Casares, high-value investor projects, and new business collaborations.
From the second I stepped off the plane in Málaga this week, I knew it was going to be a big one. And it delivered for myself and Marc Horn.
First stop: A meeting with an investor and his team about a new ultra-high villa project in Finca Cortesin. Great guys, strong energy, and yes, we’re getting involved.
Then the drive up into the mountains to the “BIG project”. Over 700,000m² of land (told you it was big). This was my first site visit, and honestly, I was blown away. The silence, the views, the atmosphere, this isn’t just land, it’s a legacy. We even discovered a villa already hidden on the plot.
Back down to Marbella, straight into meetings with agencies on Lucarna interior architecture. Solid conversations, solid connections, capped off with an amazing dinner.
Next day?
• Office viewings, several good, but only one with real potential.
• Open house at a €12M villa, one of the most detailed, breathtaking properties I’ve ever seen. Every floor with panoramic La Concha views. That one’s going online soon, and trust me, it’s going to turn heads.
• Met with old friends in agencies, always good to catch up.
Then straight into Marbella old town for tapas and then a notary meeting with our lawyer. That’s all I’ll say for now. Afterwards, another tapas stop, this time meeting an American artist introduced to us. A lot of client crossover here, a very interesting lady and we will be working on a collaboration.
Final stretch: More meetings, then a plot viewing in Casares, an outstanding golf-centric piece of land with real potential.
The sun was out, the energy was non-stop, and I was reminded exactly why I miss living here full-time.
Meanwhile, back in Jersey? The project hit yet another snag, one that should never have happened. At this point the failures are almost laughable. Agent omitted to tell us that the central heating system was just for decoration and not actually connected to anything. Oh and majority of the electrics.
Fantastic week though and Jersey project will be great once complete.
